Volumetric Control Problems

2 Attachment(s)
Hi!I have a problem when generating polyhedral meshes with Volumetric Control
Attachment 54522
Attach 1(with color) is what I generated
Attachment 54521
Attach 2 is a image of a paper.
It's obvious that meshes in attach 2 used Volumetric Control but has difference with mine and with the User's Guide.
I wonder how to generate meshes like it?

You need to decrease the volume blending factor. Start at 0.3 or so.

Hi,me3840! Thanks a lot! I've regenerated mesh. But the refinement of Volumetric Control is still different from the image in that paper. In the paper's case ,I think, the author set the maximum size in Volumetric Control and use some method to let cells grow irregularly as same as in the core region. But cells in my case is in regular following the shape of rectangle.

Yes, you have to play with it. If you lower the value you will get something like that in the paper. Sometimes though, depending on the sizes involved, you can't lower the blending factor enough to get rid of the volume control template. There's no hard or fast rule on what the value should be, you just progressively lower and remesh until you get (hopefully) what you want.

Though the paper has a very smooth outline, are you sure that refinement is in a volume and not on a symmetry plane or wall? That's what it looks like to me.

Well, you're right.I just emailed the author. It's a symmetry face ~ XD. Thank you very much!
