Hi All
I have a question regarding the capability or the best method to study the effect of atomization and droplets using starccm+. Have anyone previously done using starccm+ and if yes how good it is. I have seen some cases where they used Starccm+ for Sprays using a Lagrangian approach. But I am not completely sure about the ways to do as well. So if someone have some experience on this kindly let me know. Thanks |

I have worked on sprays. Star ccm currently have no model to simulate atomization. You have to extract this from experiment. They use some doppler anamoemeter to find size and velocity distribution from spray. Accordingly we can use cone injector with velocity input as a table as boundary condition. If you know numerical model for atomization in your case then you may be able to write a field function for that.
