Starting with STARCCM+

Hi all,
I am an absolute beginner, I'd like to learn some CFD and my university professor of fluid dynamics allowed me to run StarCCM + with a power license on my computer.
The problem is since I installed StarCCM i can't do anything since the starting page is different from how it should be (I attached how it looks like).:confused::confused:
I already uninstalled it and reinstalled 3 times but nothing changed.
I have windows 10 and the version of starccm should be the proper one.
Any clue?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help. :o

Can't you do "File" -> "New", to create a new simulation case?

Thanks a lot for answering!

By the way when I press FILE the only two options are "Page Setup" and "Print".

I can't even load the page where the program asks me for the License Key.

Do you have any clue? =(

Yap, I just started an .exe which first installs a programme "Installanywhere" and then starts the installation of starCCM+.
I "reinstalled" it and attached the screen of the steps, hope it helps.

For the sack of completing this thread, i want to add the solution to that problem - in case anyone encounters the same problem.

The described problem has been solved by deleting the CD-Adapco / Starccm folder in the (hidden) Appdata folder of windows. (It was either in Local or Roaming). It seems there were some errors in the configuration which werent deleted after uninstalling. These errors prevented to build a proper GUI.

Best regards,
Sebastian
