Hello everybody.

I'm trying to track the position of a particle throughout a vessel containing air. Obviously, I'm using a track file to do it. The issue here is that I have to use a relatively fine mesh in order to obtain a good number of points on my track file. On the other hand, the drag calculation may get prejudiced, because the particle diameter is much bigger than the cell's height.

Do you know a way to overcome this issue?? The functions I'm currently recording on the track file, besides the default ones, are position and particle velocity.

thanks.

Is the simulation transient or steady-state?

Have you tried different sizes of mesh to see the impact on drag calculation?

Thanks for your answer, man.

I found a way to deal with this. I should have used the parcel centroid function to track the particle's centroid position.
