Automatic startup for simulations

Hello,

Me and my friend are currently working on a small introductory project to CFD and Star CCM+ specifically as a preparation for a future project. Right now we're sitting on a small simulation that takes about an hour to complete. The thing is that we want to try the same setup but with slightly different parameters to see the impact of different settings. The difference in settings shouldn't be too big, often just changing a parameter somewhere. The setup we have in mind brings us to about 40 different simulations of an hour each. Is there any way to automate this process? It seems like the project is inbetween too big to run manually and too small to use a remote server/cluster.

Thanks in advance

Yes you can do it using macro. Like if you want different velocities at inlet, then record a macro while setting up model (setting of velocity value at inlet should be in this) and running it. Then open that java file as text, create a for loop or any loop whichever applicable. Some basic knowledge of Java is better otherwise this will consume you same time as running each simulation. But once you get the idea, it will be better for future simulations.
