leon_jar is on a distinguished road
Hi,
I'm starting using star ccm+. I try to model a kind of water separator. Water enters to model as a mist (VF=1e-4), impinges on wall forming water film and flows to drain. "Clean" air exits different outlet. I'm using DMP model+ water film with impinging and edge stripping phase interaction. I running case first with air phase only to get initinal flow field and then add DMP phase. It is a transient simulation. I set all convection to first order and decreased URF for all equationsI have a problem with DMP teperature. It start to hits min and max limits on a surfaces where water is not present. Also worning of VF limit occurs. Set max VF =1. . After some time cells with max and min temp propagate, the same happes with cells where VF reach the limits and calculation gets diverget.
Could you please provide any guidelines regarding DMP simulation or suggest any other mode that may be more suitable for this model ?
Thank you,
Jarek
