Hi Everyone!

I'm creating a new simulation for a power transformer cooler (heat exchange or radiator) using STAR-CCM+.

This is a heat transfer conjugated with convection and conduction.

I have some difficulties to define the regions and volumes for the fluid inside the radiator (Oil), for example.

What's the right sequence or steps may I follow to build the pre-processor for this simulation?
Please, anyone can help me?

I attached 2 images to help understand the model i trying to simulate.

Thanks in advance!

For any CHT simulation:

1. Use whatever means you see fit to produce a volume of each fluid and solid part
2. If necessary, imprint the parts together to create contacts between interface surfaces
3. Assign the parts to regions
4. Configure and create the mesh
4b. Assess the mesh quality and repeat meshing until satisfied
5. Create the physics and boundary conditions
6. Create any desired reports

And all the pre-processing is done.

Anything in greater detail requires greater detail of your specific case, which is on you to provide.
