Hi!
We are a group of students working with our bachelor thesis. Our goal is to simulate a U-tube cooler using Star CCM+.
We have got som measured values from a existing cooler; pressure, velocity, flow and temperature of the gas.

We have for the most used velocity inlet (for the two inlets) and pressure outlet, and the outlet temperature from the simulation is quite similar to our measured values.
Our problem now is that the simulated values for pressure is far away from the correct value.
We have tried to change backflow specifications to static pressure for the outlet, and we have applied the measured pressure of -1280Pa at the outlet. The simulation diverges after a few iterations.

Any suggestions on how to correctly calculate the pressure drop is appreciated. Thanks!
