Hydro-acoustic analysis of marine propellers

I intend to carry out hydro-acoustic analysis of marine propellers using STARCCM. I have modeled the propeller and have predicted the hydrodynamic performance of this propeller (steady analysis). Can somebody tell me the procedure to be followed to carry out this hydro-acoustic analysis using FWH acoustic analogy method (steady and transient) using STARCCM.

Hi Abhishek1001,

First of all, The problem is not easy to solve precisely. I have been tried to solve the marine propeller acoustics for months. There is no available experimental data in the literature for benchmark propellers. Actually, it is not best option to compare the experimental data with numerical results.

You can check the papers of Sanro, 2013 and 2015 papers. In addition, read the Star CCM+ User guide carefully.

Good Luck!.

Thank you BlackEagle.
Can you please share the details of the papers of Sanro, 2013 and 2015.
I have read the StarCCM+ documentation but still have a lot of doubts pertaining to meshing and analysis procedure.
