Hi
I am simulating the flow over the 4 bladed helicopter rotor in hover configuration using LES. Since the flow is periodic, i wish to simulate the flow in an quadrant using periodic boundary condition..Kindly help me to solve the pbm i used wall slip BC at all outer boundaries. The two inner faces are subjected to periodic BC. I am not being to get the solution as it is diverging. 1)Can u use this condition when i am using implicit solver. The inner region is rotated with a specific rpm using rigid body motion. I hereby attach the screenshot of the geometry. Thank you in advance |

Hey,
Did you manage to get it to work? I am currently modeling an identical problem, but I am imposing the rigid body motion on the entire domain. I am using DES with k-omega in the near wall region, but my residuals are just hovering above 1E-2... My time-step is equivalent to one degree of rotation. |
