Hey everyone,

I've been diving into the world of bird simulations and hit a bit of turbulence (pun intended!). Started out with your standard unsteady k-omega setup to study our feathered friend in various angles of attack. Got some cool data on pressure, velocity, and vorticity fields – all the good stuff.

Then I hit a snag. Needed to solve a special equation (check out the image attached), so I rigged up a new sim. This time I went with Finite Element solid energy, tweaked the material properties, and voila, got the derivatives I was after. Turns out you can't trick the gas domain solver into ignoring the extras we don't need, so I went the solid route.

Now for the tricky part: I've got two sets of solutions on two wildly different meshes and domain types. And I need to merge 'em. Tried to coax Star-CCM+ into doing the heavy lifting, and when that didn't pan out, I attempted exporting the data to CGNS and wrestling with it in MATLAB using cgns4m.

But no dice. So, I'm throwing this out to all you CFD gurus – got any magic tricks up your sleeves for interpolating one solution set onto another?

Any tips would be a lifesaver!

Cheers!

Have you tried the volume data mapper? Other than the help file, here's a link to additional instructions:
