Hi everybody,

I have a question regarding the surface wrapper: when I try to perform my mesh, I receive this error:

Error during surface wrapping, deleting resulting mesh
a facetype may belong to only one wrapper subgroup
Command: GenerateSurfaceMesh
Recoverability: Non-recoverable

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thank you so much.

This is a bug. I would suggest you just try and change some of the wrapper settings so that the situation that brings it about doesn't occur.

It's also a good idea to make sure all of your wrapper settings make sense.

This points to multiple part surfaces which contain the same patch id -- which is not allowed. So this is maybe an input error. Where did you get the surface that you're trying to wrap? What version of STAR-CCM+ are you using?

I know the error message is not helpful. I'd suggest going into surface repair and trying to find that or those surfaces and doing some reorganization. Maybe make a new part surface and add those duplicated ids to a new part surface.

I'm using starccm 13.06.12.

I found a salution of the problem. I just did some changes of my .prt file and now it seems that it works. Thank you for the help.
