Hey all,

I wanted to obtain some distributed values along a wall from my simulatio. For the pressure it was easy, as it is a direct measure. But I was also interested in obtaining a distribution for the drag force, something like force per distance or per area and plot it on top of the model, and also export it.

Has someone done something like that? I was thinking maybe use some tables or something like that, but I've had no clue how, so far.

You can just calculate drag with a field function and plot it just as you would any other scalar like pressure.

Which Field functions would I use for that? The only way I was obtaining forces was through a report that takes the integral of a surface.

Just create a user field function using the pressure, wall shear, and area functions to calculate drag. The user guide has a good section on using user field functions.

Thanks, I was already familiar enough with field functions to make that, and it worked greatly.
