Default Field Function specified in certain region - Problem with mass fraction

Hi!

I want to set a field function to a specific value in one region (Region A with Region Index 5) and to the mass fraction of water vapor in another region (Region B with Region Index 1).
Region B consists of a multi-component gas (Air + Water Vapor), Region A is a liquid region.

My approach was defining a field function like this:

Code:
(${RegionIndex} == 0) ? ${MassFractionH2O} : ${FixedValue}
Unfortunately, this only yields the mass fraction of water in region B but no value in region A.
If I replace ${MassFractionH2O} by another fixed value, everything works as expected and the values are different in the separate regions.

Do you have an idea why this approach does not work with the mass fraction of water? That would be very helpful!

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi,

Which model do you use?

Since you have Water and also air + water vapour mixture, doesnt it mean you are running multi phase setup?

Or can you simulate water( liquid) and water wapour( gas) together using multi component (gas ) model?

Please let me know, i am stuck at similar problem

Regards
