Hello, I am a newbie at using StarCCM+. I am trying to learn to mesh but I am confused with the meshing using the Operations node and the Continua node. What is the difference between these two different meshing options?

Ok from what I can understand the meshing from Operation node leads to Part based meshing and the one from Continua node leads to Region-based meshing. What is Part based continua nad how is it different from part based meshing?

Continua is where you typically start.

Operations introduces pipelines and adds automation, allowing you to automate the meshing process for a general scenario so that you can run hundreds of cases.

Not all features are available in operations. If you plan on only running a few cases, continua and working with regions is the most straightforward way to do so.

Apart from what LuckyTran mentioned about workflow pipelines and automation - the answer is quite simple:
- more than one Part can correspond to a Region;
- part-based meshing meshes Parts, region-based meshing meshes Regions.
