apara is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

I am relatively new to Star CCM+, and I am currently working on simulating fluid flow around a circular cylinder for a project I have. I want to add a velocity inlet at two particular points (Point A and Point B) on the cylinder in order to suppress vortex shedding in the wake of the cylinder. So in total, I will have 3 velocity inlets. One which is part of the boundary wall upstream of the cylinder, and the remaining two at points A and B. Not sure if this is possible.

Thanks.

A velocity inlet at a point is not possible. You need to think in terms of volumes and surfaces. A "point" does not exist in this landscape.

You can apply a momentum source at a single volume. You can apply a velocity inlet on a single face. But points don't exist.
