Hello All,

I am new to Starccm+ Simulation. also i am new to CFD simulation .
I want to do following simulation across a assembly of pipes having a small dia pipe first and large dia pipe later and then again a small pipe

1. Refrigerant properties import in Starccm+ tool.
2. What should be appropriate boundary conditions at Inlet and outlet to create compressible flow simulation.
3. I am giving mass flow rate input and pressure at output
3. Refrigerant to be used is in vapour phase , single phase only.

Shock wave simulation
1. What should be appropriate BC to be given to create Shock wave
2. What should be creteria to create shock wave across pipe geometry.
3. Is it possible to create shock wave using mass flow rate at Inlet and pressure at outlet
2. Shock wave simulation and results interpretation.

Please let me know if someone has skillset to create shock wave simulation across pipes using compressible refrigerant properties.

Also let me know if you need more information regarding problem
statement.

This will be a great help for me.

Thanks,
Sandeep S.
