Floating Point Exception When I Add Rotation RBM

Hello, I am trying to run a simulation for a pump jet model. I drawed the geometry in Rhino and imported as parasolid.
TeamViewer_ytHmw8tvbb.png In the ss above, there are two bladed geometries. Left one is stator, right one is impeller. Impeller is inside a cylinder volume which I am trying to give a rotation. There are two regions one being that cylinder which has the impeller substracted from it and the other one is rest of the geometry cylindirical region being substracted from it. Simulation works fine when there is no rotating parts. But when I give a rotation to that cylindirical region, it gives floating point exception error. I think the problem is that whatever I do, the mesh between the two regions always have some small gaps in between. But I am not sure of that. What else could cause this problem? Please help out this is my thesis and my time is running out... Last edited by akif_name; June 5, 2020 at 17:44. |

sounds like an interface issue so you need to check quality of the mesh across this as it rotates using the various ways to check interfaces - visual, report etc.
also run it as a moving reference frame rotating region first in steady state mode - maybe you have done this - and then restart from that solution since the sudden imposition of fluid motion might cause the crash. |
