Hi everyone, i'm simulating a condition of supersonic retropropulsion with a jet expanding against a supersonic freestream. The flowfield is chracterized by an instability of the triple point of the jet, with a mechanism of vortex shedding. The inlet temperature is 350 K but in the vortex there is an increase to a maximum of 600 K. This condition is present for different models: laminar, Spalart-Allmaras and k-w. Is there a physical explanation for this phenomenon or is mainly related to numerical overshoot?
Thanks in advance. |
