High skewness angle at internal interface

3 Attachment(s)
Hello all,

I am having a problem with high skewness angle at the interface between two regions. When I just mesh the regions, my skewness angles look fine (under 25 or so degrees). However, when i do my fist iteraction the skewness shoots up to almost 90 degrees. I noticed this happens only at the interface, the rest of the meshes are fine.

In the picture "meshmatingregion", you can see that it seems that the mesh of one region are being imprinted in the "mating" region and messing up my cells- In this picture, the other region has been hidden to reveal the interface.

Is there a way to avoid this? My simulation is quite unstable around this region

Thanks a lot!
