What is the meaning of "Scalars" option in backflow specifications

Hi everyone,
In Star-CCM's manual, I couldn't find the meaning of Scalars option in backflow specification. Does anyone know the meaning of it? |

if your boundary happens to have backflow you need to tell the solver at what concentration the scalar(s) enter
|
