I'm trying to generate a 2D mesh of a flat plate with a channel connected by two pores on the plate. When I generate the mesh without surface controls on the plate surfaces the mesh generates fine. However, when I add surface control to the mesh I get a "Surface intersects self" error and I don't know why.

I have generated mesh for other models similar to this with with no issues. Using the "Auto-repair surface errors" tool and then meshing still generates the same error. No errors show up when using the repair cad tool to evaluate the model. Note that the sharp edges of the pore all have fillets.

Any ideas of what I can do to resolve this?

select your model and domain together-right click on them-create mesh operation-boolean-subtract
target part should be your domain
