Applying vibrations to pipe
Hello All,
I am new to STAR-CCM and am really struggling to figure out how to go about setting up this simulation. Basically, I want to set-up a simulation where I have a flexible pipe which has water flowing through it and oscillates up and down. I should also add that for this simulation I am not really interested on the interactions between the water and the pipe but rather just how the flow changes as the pipe oscillates transversely. Based on what I have learned from about STAR-CCM so far, it seems that the morphing motion with a custom field function would be the best way to go about this, but I cannot for the life of me get anything to work. Is there something I am missing? Has anyone else attempted a similar scenario? Thank you all for your help in advance! :)
PS: This link -> https://www.acs.psu.edu/drussell/Dem...ing/Fixed.html
demonstrates the type of oscillatory motion I hope to impose on the pipe/fluid domain.
