AeroX is on a distinguished road
Hello everyone, I need to simulate a 2D cylinder translating in a quiescent airflow for my master thesis project, I'm trying to use the overset mesh approach but I'm not much experienced with simulations of moving bodies.
I've given a first try simply overlapping the two mesh (overset and background) and making sure the cells across the interface are of a comparable size but the residuals keep going higher until they reach values of 10e07, meanwhile the drag coefficient seems to be slightly constant despite its value is completely out of scale.
I've tried to find some tutorial online and to find some kind of tips on the guide but despite my researching efforts I can't really find anything helpful, can anyone give me any tips or opinions about how I should set this kind of simulation?
IT IS REALLY URGENT,YOUR HELP COULd REALLY BE HELPFUL !!!
