Generating Wave in Star-CCM+

Greetings,
I'm pretty new at using Star-CCM+ and I want to ask regarding wave simulation. I want to simulate a ship in waves, but I have this problem where the waves are shaped like this.

This is how the waves look like when it's first initialized.

I am using First Order VOF Wave type and amplitude of 0,5 m. What I want to ask is it possible to start at calm water first then the waves be generated overtime after I click Run?

Thank you very much for your time.

I am not using automatic meshing. Overset and free surface, automatic meshing in star-ssm+ are far from perfect. We have to wait for about 30 or more versions, several years.
Manual meshing and animation of the result in my task at the link:

The quality of animation and the quality of calculation in star-ssm+ are incompatible things. You need to work with additional applications.
Time sampling = 2 orders of magnitude.

Thank you very much for replying to my thread. I have already watched the video and I've got a few question, if you don't mind. What did you do so that the waves are generated in your whole towing tank? because when I did simulate my work, the waves only generated at the overset box.

Change the default wave settings in the physics model.
Only two options are chosen by mutual exclusion.

I want to note: starting from version 16.3, the computational grid will be built without the participation of regions - oblasts. The developer did not think well of this move. No free surface compatibility when using overset. The results are very different from previous versions, and the capabilities have decreased by an order of magnitude. Therefore, I indicated that we still have to wait and wait for revision. Stay in version 13 for now if you want to work with a free surface so that the automatic adaptation does not spoil your result.
