Rayleigh-Plesset for cavitation
 

I've been trying to replicate this paper's results using Star-CCM+. Specifically, I'm trying to replicate the 45 fps, 6 degs and cavitation number of 0.158.

I'm initializing the flow using a steady state monophasic simulation, and then running an implicit unsteady, VOF multiphase with Rayleigh-Plesset.

However, I can't seem to make cavitation appear using the R-P model, even by drastically lowering the cavitation number (by decreasing the pressure), while Schnerr-Sauer cavitates immediately (I do not know the full simulation results, though, and thus I don't know how accurate it is).

I'm using the default settings for pretty much everything, but I'll share my macros below either way.

Do you have any pointers on what I could be doing wrong?
