Hello,

I've been running into this error every time I try to mesh. I have tried reducing the number of cells by increasing the target size, reducing the boundary region size but haven't been able to get it to run. Has anyone encountered this error? What can I do to solve the issue?

Code:
PARALLEL_FATAL: Storage capacity has been exceeded.: (../../../trimmer/src/trimmer/Trimmer.cpp:1774)
ERROR: Parallel volume meshing fatal error
Command: GenerateVolumeMesh
   error: Server Error
ERROR: Parallel volume meshing fatal error
Command: GenerateVolumeMesh
   command: CommandComplete
   error: Server Error

First of all, turn off parallel meshing. Go with the series. Also mesh on single core. Don't pull multiple cores during opening sim file. The theory being, handling mesh parallelly costs more computer recourse. And the last option is to increase your RAM. One thing you can still check is if you have populated right memory slots.

I tried running it in serial but its still not working. I am running it with 162000MB of RAM on HPC. Still not sure what's going.

Did you tried surface mesh only option first. Can you do the surface mesh. check surface mesh thoroughly to see unnecessary refinement. Deselect proximity refinement. These errors during meshing can happen. Sometimes Solution is to starts fresh.

Are you getting same error during serial meshing?

P.S. Try to provide sufficient info to get better answers here.
