Default Simple Failure Model for particle clumps

Hi all,

I am using DEM in star ccm+ to model particle clumps. For particle clumps the Bonded Particle model is selected by default. The userguide states the following about this model:
"When the Bonded Particles model is selected, the Simple Failure and Constant Rate Damage models become available. If either of these models is selected and determines that the bond breaks, the particles separate. Thereafter, the Hertz Mindlin model determines the particle-particle interaction upon collision."

I selected the Simple Failure Model which automatically means that the Hertz-Mindlin model is used for particle-particle interaction once the bond between particles is broken. This means that I can not select the Hertz-Mindlin model in models, since this is done automatically via the Simple Failure Model. This is where I am a bit confused, because I can not find where I can specify the parameters used in the Hertz-Mindlin model for the particle-particle interaction. Does anyone know how these parameters are determined now?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Michelle
