Hello fellow CFD enjoyers!

So I'm trying to get peak (min and max) envelope facade pressures on this simple model of building. That's what I've came up with.

Let's say I have three .sim files, each containing calculations for different direction of wind.

In each of them I create new Field Function that equals to Pressure Field Function (for differently named imported Field Functions later).

Then, from each of .sim files, I export region with that derived Field Function to .ccm file

After that I create new .sim file and import all created .ccm files...

use surface data mappers to create Field Functions with prefix MappedImported*...

and finally create new scalar Field Functions max_P and min_P based on that MappedImported* ones.

As a result I get this:

Granted this works, I can't stop to think, if there is a simpler way.

My background is in civil engineering and there we have so called Load Combinations - linear combinations of simple Load Cases. And every Structural Engineering software can easily create those with practically one click.

Is it possible that I'm missing similar functionality here in Star-CCM+? Or maybe there is another faster and simpler way to achieve same results?

There's another approach using solution histories. Here's a link to a good video showing the steps involved (required Siemens support access):
