Hi All
I have created a simulation of inhaler aersol deposition within the lungs. I'm using the Lagrangian multiphase model to simulate the inhaler particles. This has been working fine so far but I would like to find a way to visualise the particles instead of the parcels. I can see the particle count is over 80,000 but only 3 parcels are active in the scene. Please could someone advise how to view the individual particles instead of the parcels when using the Lagrangian multiphase model if possible. Thanks in advance ![]() |

My understanding is that each parcel represents many particles. This is done because the number of particles in the domain would otherwise be excessive (not always, but typically) and it wouldn't be possible to track each one of them. And that's why the solver groups them such that each simulation parcel represents multiple physical particles. In other words – I don't think you can visualize the particles as the solver only knows where the parcels are.
If you only have three parcels in the domain I'd say it is not enough, try to inject more of them. It's not uncommon to have several millions of parcels, but I'm no expert in this field, so take that number with a pinch of salt. |
