Hi everyone, I am currently doing a flapping panel simulation and it is a FSI process. There are two kinds of solids, the leading edge (on the left) and the panel on the right. I give the left surface of the leading edge a prescribed oscillating motion, as seen in the figure and a solid-solid interface is employed to connect the two solids. The left part is solid with low stffniss and the right part is with very high stiffness. under the elatic effect the panel will rotate or pitch around the lift part. The problem is I found that the length of the panel will be enlarged in the chord direction and it seems like it is stretched by the inertia force of the panel it self. Does anyone know the reason for this? Thank you in advance!
