Hi:
I wanted to use the same annotation multiple times in the same scene. For example, in this scene, I pretend to write 'Φ = 1' in the right side also. Do I need to create one more annotation (copy) in the tools > annotations or is it possible to create a duplicate using the same annotation object? I tried to drag again the same annotation - Stoichiometric Isoline - but it doesn't work. Any suggestions? |

I don't recall the ability to duplicate annotations. So, other than what you proposed, I can think of two more ways. First, you can turn on isoline labels for your scalar (see HELP file:
Post-Processing > Visualizing the Solution > Visualization Workflow > Refining a Scalar Display). You can also try fiddling with an annotation by entering many space characters in between (i.e., "Φ = 1___________Φ = 1", where I've used an underscore instead). |

Hi. Thank you for your attention.
I've already knew about your first answer: using the scalar display isolines I can only display the isoline phi = 1 with isolines labels on. But the problem about this strategy is that I don't know if it's possible to control isoline label. For example, I can't exclude that plus sign that appears next to the number or define decimal precision (number format), excluding the '.0' from the label. There is a property 'Label Precision' contained in the Isoline Labels node, but it's kind of a weak control. And I haven't found other properties or nodes in the software. And that was another question: is it possible to have high label format control of isoline labels (like the one found in Color Bar node)? |

I agree, isoline label control is weak. I'm on an older version, and there aren't any other parameters to change (like the ones in the Color Bar node) in GUI. If you have a new version, you can check if there's anything hidden in Java API (see file in install directory: /doc/client/html/star/vis/ContourLabel.html).
Otherwise, a custom "Decimal Display Format" in default options with "Print Sign" checkbox unchecked might work. See the following help files: - Getting Started > Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Default Options - User Interface > Using the Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Workspace > Using the Workspace > Changing the Appearance of Decimals Cheers |
