Hello, I simulate the 3D flow in centrifugal compressor using StarCCM+ v3.02. The domain consists of 3 parts: impeller, bladed diffusor and axial straightener blade (each part is one passage).
The problem is that I can’t reach mass flow convergence on interfaces. The difference remains about 3%. I use steady coupled solver, mixing plane on interfaces. The interface between impeller and bladed diffuser is R=const, the interface between bladed diffuser and straightener blade is Z=const. The boundary conditions correspond to the choke.
Have you ever had such problems with mass flow convergence on interfaces? Do you have any ideas about the reasons and how to improve the situation? Thank you in advance for your answers.
