Lagrangian material particles

Hello all,

I have done a simulation with dust particles floating in the air, there are 2 exits, a radial and an axial. during the simulation data was written in a track file. Particles are injected at inlet with 6 injectors each with their own particle diameter

Problem in post processing. I can only see the particles in their final position. I would like to visualize their path trough the grid. furthermore i would like to know how much percent of each injector mass flow is going trough axial and radial. All in all define the separation efficiency between axial and radial exit per particle size.
I do not want to visualize the tracks for all at the same time. I want to see particles go trough the system colored by their diameter (or per injector number). I think my main problem is that i do not know how to seperate each injector in the post processing

I have looked at every possible scalar, vector, track and streamline setting and have no clue what to do next.

Great thx.

Hi,

I would define 6 different phases in MODELS>Lagrangian Multiphase > Lagr. phases,
one for each injector. This way you can see the tracks for each injector separately.
To see the tracks, you have to turn ON Track model in Models for each phase.
then in TOOLS in Track Files to create new track file and after computation extract track file (by left click on track file). You got <Particle Track> in main tree which you may analyse.

For efficiency computation you want to make a report with sum of IncidentMassFlux of Phase of your interest (look into TOOLS->Field Functions list of variables)

good luck

Many thx for this response,

I find it weird that Cd-adapco gives the possibility to create multiple injectors, and at the end not much can be done with them in the post processing.

Anyway, got the solution now so going with that.

hello bram

i am trying to simulate air and dust particle in a room please suggest me which solver shall i use to solve the problem

thanks in advance

tracking of trajectory of as particle

i have generated breaking wave in a domain in starccm. i want to track the trajectory of a single particle.in the wave. IF anybody knows please give me some idea how th do.

What is the particle size and volume flow rate of particles you took into consideration initially?:)
