Sliding Mesh/ Repeating interface
 

Hello,

I'm trying to model stator/rotor interaction in turbomachinery. The help file for "repeating interface" seems to be exactly what I want. However, I can't get it to work.

I have attached a photo "1" of my two regions, which are coincident and perfectly aligned. I set the coincident faces to have a "repeating interface". However, when I try to then mesh the resultant file. I got what you see in picture "2". It comes out strange, and the volume mesh will not work as a result. I just get an error message.

Does anyone have any experience with sliding meshes/repeating interfaces? If so, could you please let me know what I'm doing wrong and/or give me a quick rundown of how to set up such a problem?

I'm still a novice with CFD and this program, so I appreciate the help. I hope to be able to help others in the future with what I learn.
