Human Powered Vehicle Simulation

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys, im running a simulation on a Human Powered Vehicle and trying to match the results to wind tunnel and previous cfd published results.
Im new to CCM+ and CFD in general and wondered if i could get a few pointers.

  • Is it possible to change the physics model after you've started iterating and clear the previous iterations? I tried changing them after like 300 iterations but it seemed to continue with the old inputs??
  • Does the same go for reports etc, do they need to be created before the first run.
Just some general info about the project:

  • HPV geometry running with and without fairings, away from and close to ground.
  • geometry is highly streamlined, so hopefully no pressure drag only skin friction.
  • Inviscid/Viscous inputs
  • Seg flow, ideal gas, incompressible, 3d, stationary.
ive just done one inviscid run which converged pretty quickly, wiith a coarish mesh, some laminar separation towards TE probably due to coarse mesh.

If anyone could help me that would be great!

-I've changed constant density model to ideal gas and my measures changed, so i guess you can change any physics model and it will work well

-The reports can be created when you want, but the monitors must be created before iterating

cool thanks for that.
