import mesh to STAR CCM+

Hi all,

I have got a mesh generated by Gambit.

Is it possible to use this mesh in STAR CCM+? I have managed to import it into STAR-CD.

Thanks veru much.

Go to File> Import Surface Mesh. See supported formats, else you will have to convert it into parasolid, catia or other supported formats.

The extension is .mesh and .neu

Try File --> Import (not import surface mesh). You can import .neu and .msh

Thanks.

I have tried the two formats using import.

The .msh can be imported but the .neu not. The .neu was generated by Gambit.

If you have it in Star-CD, then you can save the geometry to *.ccmg file and this can be read by Star-CCM+ already.
Try, and let us now:)

Yes, I have tried. You are right. The .neu file from Gambit can be read by STAR-CD, then saved as .ccmg, then the .ccmg file can be read by STAR-CCM+...
