Hey,

I would like to know, if it is possible to calculate only the bubble rise movement inside a liquid column.

The case is that I ran the calculation for liquid flow in the beginning, to get the steady state values. Now I need to inject bubbles and calculate their terminal velocities in the pre-found flow field.
It takes a lot of resource to run the flow all the time again, so could I just run the bubbles (Lagrangian phase) separately?

Thanks in advance!

Why not use Volume of Fluid - or as CD-Adapco calls it now, MultiFluid? If there isn't any heat / mass transfer between the phases it should be easy to do.

I think that the injectors are really useful and convenient anyway to use. If I'll do it in MultiFluid way, I think it wouldn't be more suitable and then one needs still to calculate the whole flow field over and over again. Just need to change the diameter of a bubble, run the case (without running the bulk flow again), change the d again etc..

You can freeze solving the flow field by setting the AMG solver Max Cycles for Velocity and Pressure to 0.

Don't use the Solver Frozen option or you might get problems with unallocated variables
