mesh intersecting another mesh

hi all,

I am simulating a process (friction stir processing) where a tool (has cylindrical geometry and small cylindrical pin) is imprinted in a sheet that is designed with a hole ( Where the pin is inserted ), now the tool should rotate and then move linearly, I still dont know how to transfer the interface (in the sheet region) with the moving tool....does anyone have an idea??? in case the interface didnt follow the tool, then the pin of the tool will get inside the closed mesh of the sheet....I am using a direct interface (in place) between the tool and the sheet, does changing the interface type help??

thanks

Is this a flow simulation or are you using starccm just for meshing purposes?

yes this is a flow problem, I am simulating the process by assuming the fluid as non Newtonian fluid and heat is generated by deformation

I'm not fully sure whether I've understood it the right way... Maybe you can post a picture?
My current guess would be, you have to use the morpher to model the translation, but it will be more clear with a picture...
