Unable to boolean substract

This is what I have done so far:
I imported my model as a part. Then I made another part in the 3D-CAD model manager and combined this with the imported part. I then made a region out of the combined part. Then I created a block surface which was going to be my fluid domain. Why can't I do a Boolean substract with these two regions?

Why are you trying to subtract the combined part from the region?

You have to initialize meshing before doing a boolean subtract.

Apparently, what I was trying to do isn't possible in this (the newest) version. Will be possible with the next version which is due sometime in October/November.

Everything is sorted though. Just had to import every part as a region into a new .sim file.

You can't subtract regions if you don't have an "initial surface" representation. You will get this representation when you initialize the meshing pipeline, and after that you can do a boolean subtract - even when importing geometry as a part.

Cheers
