xinzhiyu2008 is on a distinguished road
when i generate gridding with polyhedral mesher style, if the number of gridding more than 1 million, the software will report error, my computer memory is 8G,who can tell me why!

if your tetrahedral vertex count is more than 10 million, than 8 gb machine may not produce the mesh

You need to be running the 64bit version of the code to access the 8GB

To expand on this: the Windows 32-bit version of STAR-CCM+ will be limited to 2gb.

yes ,i know my sysytem is windows server 2003 enterprise edition, they say it can access 64G,can't it?

Yes it can. But you need to use 64bit version of StarCCM+,too!

The first thing you can do is to post the error message - it's not written there to make users waste some time with reading them, an error message contains information about the problem!
Or do you also tell the doctor, you're feeling some pain, without telling whether your head, your leg, your stomach or whatever hurts?
