Hi

I'm using STAR to do a numierical wave tank, I will test both linear and nonlinear waves, at deep and shallow water, but I have just started on linear waves.

I have experienced some problems, eg weird back flow from the pressure outlet, making the waves not sine-shaped.

Which boundary conditions is recommended? I prefer to to the calculation in 2D, because of my bad computer. Is this possible?

How fine should the mesh at the free surface be?

Regards.
