Hi, All Experts,
I am just starting to use STARCCM+ and have a project would like to simulate the nebulizer model. I just know some conditions:
1. Fluid selection: Air & Water
2. Inlet: Air, 15psi
3. Outlet: Pressure, 1atm

I would like to know the mass fraction of water & Air ,the final water particle size after impact the wall, and the outlet flow rate.

My questions are:
1. What kinds of phycial model is suit for this simulation?
2. Doest STARCCM+ have good tutorials that I can learn from it before starting to do?

Please kindly let me know it.

thanks.

Hi

As I understood you have two phases ( water and air).
Do you have a volume fraction of each phase in the inlet? or you have air as main phase and water droplets are liquid particles dispersing in the air?
Do you have some experimental data?

I saw the questions.
The first and second question can be answered using VOF. Take a look at the tutorial about VOF which is about an an injector.
But about the third question, I think it is a little tricky. I do know how to solve it exactly. You need two way coupling, in which the particles can attach to each other.

Siara,
Thanks for your reply. I will try to learn from VOF.

Siara,
I am facing a new problem about floating point exception issue. Can you help me to check what is my problem? Please let me know.
thanks.
