star-ccm+ with autocad and pro/Engineer
Hi everybody,

I would like to know if its possible to get the geometry from Pro/Engineer and Autocad.

Its very possible. You can draw your geometry in AutoCAD and then convert it to convenient format ie, .x_t, .IGES, .STEP using Rhinoceros.

Sorry I didn't use ProE so I don't know about this.

yes, there is a conversion plug-in to import the proe native files. afaik it cost around 500-1000 and it should allow you to import both parts and assemblies (not really sure about the assemblies thought, so check it before placing your order...:p)

of course you can still import for free iges, step, or parasolid geometries created using proe...
