analyzing stream straces/ lagrangian phases

Hello,
I require some help regarding a problem I am facing in analyzing my simulation results. Its a steady state simulation and the temperature in the domain varies. I need to calculate the time a particle (or the fluid element) spends within a specified temperature zone. I could use lagrangian phases but that would give me the particle residence time in the domain. The flow is circulating in the domain so the fluid passes through the temperature zone multiple number of times.

Is there a way i can calculate the total time the particle/fluid element spends in the specified temperature zone. Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Get the trackfile format from CD, write out the temperature field from CCM+ and write your own code to do exactly what you want.
