Looking for help on senior project
 

Hey guys im new to the forum as well as the CFD world. I am currently a senior at Western Washington University and working on completing my senior project for graduation.

For my project I am studying the effect of altering internal brake rotor vane geometry and the air flow characteristics of the rotor. Essentially trying to see how much air is moved through the rotor with different vane geometries.

I have never had any previous experience in using a cfd software so I have to teach myself how to use the Star-ccm+ program available from school.

I will be searching through previous postings for most of my questions but will post here if I cant find a solution. Ifany of you have experience with using this software and the study of brake rotors please let me know. I can use all the help I can get.

there is a tutorial in STAR CCM+ on rotors try it. It might give you an idea. First of all get some basic knowledge about CFD and Fluid Mechanics.
