how to save simulation in video format ???

  1. Open your scene (scalar, vector, etc)
  2. Under Displayers, turn on Animatinos and set up the appropriate settings (Note: some of the settings are under Attributes)
  3. In the toolbar, hit the Record button (red circle). Please note there are 2 record buttons, macro record and animation record. Make sure to hit the animation record
  4. Select the "AVI Movie" option under Movie Type
