Hey guys,
I'm transitioning from fluent/gambit to star ccm+ and was curious if there is a sizing function equivalent in star ccm+? Basically for my volume mesh I'm looking for a very fine mesh around my airfoil and to quickly expand in the outer areas of the external flow domain to speed things up a bit. I played around with surface growth rates, but didn't know what surfaces this was in reference to - as well as volumetric controls with varying mesh sizes. Thanks! |

I don't know Fluent and Gambit. What exactly do you want to do which isn't working in ccm+?

For the polyhedral there is. In the mesh continuum, there is a "Tet/poly growth factor" in there. Cant remember the exact name. |

Now that I have it open, you are wanting to change "Growth Factor" under Tet/Poly Density, which is under "Reference Values" for the mesh continuum

Ok, great! - do you know if a growth factor exists for the trimmer model?
Thanks again, Mike |
