Massflow weighted local scalar in cylinder section?

hi guys,

folowwing problem: I am analyzing a scalar (ie.: Meridian Velocity) in a cylinder section. The local value in a specific cell is intersting for me. Therefore i switched the mesh about the cylinder section on. For a good decision of choosing the local cell i need to watch the Meridian Velocity in dependence of the massflow through the cells. No averaged values, just mass flow weighted local values should be seen in the scene. How can I create this?

Thanks for help

Hi,

Are you familiar with field functions in CCM+? Sometimes ago I was interested in the tangetial and axial velocity weighted with the density so I created a field function defined as: $$Cell Relative Velocity * $Density

Then I can chose this field function in any scene to get the density weighted velocities.

Your case seems very similiar.

Kind regards

Hi,

yes i am familiar with field functions, but the density is in my case set to constant ;-) maybe there is another parameter i can choose for a "mass weighted" local cell?
