Dear all,
I want to calculate the liquid film in gasoline direct injection engine. However, I met a strange problem. When I use sTAR-CD 4.16 to do it, the liquid film can be generated normally. But when I use STAR-CD 4.18, the liquid film thickness and mass is always zero. Did anyone here meet this problem and help me? Thanks in advanece. |

I had the same problem while playing with the wall film tutorial. I figured out that turining on the "droplet to film transition" in liquid films->film controls fixed that.
have a try Martin |

I also tried in STAR-CD 4.16, the results almost the same no liquid film.
The support in CD-adapco told me that the wall temperature I set is higher than the boiling point of gasoline. So I should increase the Bs coefficient(default 1.0,Bai model) to a larger value such as 1.5. |
